Seasons
March 12, 2018 // Denise Boggs
Where we live here in the Carolinas, we see the four seasons come and go. The leaves change from green to golden and then with a cold snap we watch them fall. As we observe these changes from year to year we are comforted in the fact that we know what’s coming next. Even though we must face the cold days of winter, they are bearable because we know they will not last forever. We can warm up by the fire and enjoy family gatherings. Then with the first glimmer of spring, the dark days of winter are behind us and new life springs forth. Those cold days of winter are seasonal and when we make the best of them, they soon pass. However, when we complain about them they seem to last forever.
What season are you in? With each season of life we must face changes and just like the four seasons some are not as comfortable as others. But, we have the opportunity to always seek God’s comfort and warmth during the cold days and the beauty of the season can be enjoyed. If all you focus on is how cold it is outside or how bad things are around you, then you will find that what you focus on is what develops, it becomes your picture of life. Find something to be thankful for each day, wrap up in His presence and the cold season you are in will soon turn into spring.
